Community Outreach Summer Student Ministry Position

Duration

8 to 10 weeks, 40 hours per week, June through August. Specific dates to be determined and there are some flexibility in dates and hours.*

Salary

$16.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Assist in the planning and leading of special summer children’s, youth and outreach programs of the church.

Responsibilities

• To work as part of team to plan, promote, administer various children and youth summer ministries including up to four weeks of summer camps, and weekly Grace Kids Sunday programs and other special community youth outreach events.
  • To arrange volunteers to assist in the programs.
  • To prepare activities for the programs.
  • To be a hands-on leader and supervisor of the children and youth.

 

Minimum requirements

• At least age 16.
• Experience working with children in a church
• Some experience in use of a computer.
• A growing Christian
• Participation in Staff/Volunteer Training Saturday June 13^th (9am – 12:00pm)

• Skills – Ability in sports, music, cooking, drama or arts and crafts would be of
