Grace Groups

At Grace Memorial we value genuine relationships and believe that small groups are the best context for promoting spiritual growth and cultivating healthy friendships.

Life Groups consist of 8-12 people who meet in people’s homes, at the church, at work, at school, in a restaurant, or wherever is convenient. The groups exist for the study of God's Word, friendship, encouragement, and prayer.

Getting connected with others in a Life Group will enable you to take a break from the busy demands of everyday life and invest in what is really important: your relationship with God and your relationship with the people around you.

Meetings consist of socializing, refreshments, a course study or group-discussion Bible study, and a time to share prayer concerns and needs.

LEVL: This group meets weekly beginning on Monday, Sept 21st at 1-2:30 PM in the church Parlour. Listening Hearts 4, “Preparing to be Missional,” is an 8 week Grace Group for women. It has a dual focus with each session including a spiritual formation practice and a mission exercise.

Monday Night Group: Starting on Monday (meeting every other week), Sept 21st & Oct 5th - The Book of Revelation (ch 21, 22) - Tony Evans video and discussion about the New Heaven and the New Earth. Mon, Oct 19th - New series: Jesus' Farewell Message (John 14-17) - (7 sessions) Francis Chan video and discussion.

Pastor Peter’s Grace Group: Meeting weekly, starting on Tuesday, Sept 22, at 7 PM in the Parlour. What Is the Trinity? Join us for a 5-week deep dive study on the Trinity; move past abstract theology and uncover why the Trinity matters for your faith today. Ever wondered what the Trinity actually changes about your daily life? Each week features a compelling video message from Pastor Rich Villodas, followed by interactive Bible exploration and discussion led by Pastor Peter.

GriefShare: Starting on Wednesday, Sept 16th & 30th at 7 PM in the Parlour. In October, the meeting will change to every 2nd and 4th Wednesday; it will be co-led by Jim and Esther Bae, and Gerry and Betty Anne Taylor. GriefShare is a group for those who have experienced the death of a loved one, designed to help you through the journey. You’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief and find opportunities for hope and healing in your new “normal”. The 13 sessions, includes video instruction and encouraging conversations, as people share the journey with others who are experiencing the impact of grief on their lives. Everyone is welcome regardless of religion or church affiliation; feel free to invite friends or others you think might benefit from this experience.

Kevin & Connie Storr’s Group: Starting on Thursday, Oct 15th at 10 AM in the Parlour, meeting every other week. The group will be exploring the advantages and the challenges that come with aging; how our relationship with, and service for, God can continue to grow and mature; and what we can look forward to in heaven. New members are welcome (with or without grey hair.)

Narcotics Anonymous (NA): We have found a way to live without using drugs, and we are happy to share it with anyone for whom drugs are a problem. Meetings are at Grace Memorial Baptist Church on Sundays and Thursdays at 7:00 PM, in the Board Room. (Please use the Northumberland doors).
